Shunya Yoshimi

Professor Emeritus, The University of Tokyo, Professor, Professor, Kokugakuin University, Faculty of Tourism and Community Development. Yoshimi studied at the Graduate School of Sociology at The University of Tokyo, and had built his career as Assistant, Associate Professor, and Professor within The University of Tokyo. Following an organizational integration, Yoshimi moved from the Institute for Social Information Research to Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies (III) in 2004, and served as the Dean from 2006 to 2008. In 2009, Yoshimi became the Chairman of the The University of Tokyo Newspaper. After retiring from The University of Tokyo, he became Professor at Kokugakuin University in 2023.
